Breakout Sessions

What are Gods purposes for my emotions?

As women, we are often overwhelmed and feel helpless with the strong pull of our emotions. By using the book "True Feelings" by Carolyn Mahaney and Nicole Whitacre, we will be learning God's purpose in our emotions. This book has a beautiful foundation of scripture and we will learn how our emotions are a sweet gift from the Lord to bring him glory.

Guiding Through Conflict

"In order to resolve conflict biblically, we must be women who choose to live at the foot of the cross. We need to be women who desire to build an economy of grace and forgiveness in all of our relationships. But relationships are messy, and conflict is frequent.  In this breakout session, we will take a look at some practical principles from Scripture to be applied before a conflict, during a conflict, and after a conflict."

A practical look at Titus 2 Discipleship.

"Titus 2 clearly calls the older woman to disciple the younger, but what does that look like?  How does it come together and how can we make it successful?  Whether you are the older woman or the younger, you'll glean some valuable pointers in this session that will look at the practical, down to earth side of Titus 2 discipleship."

Messy Beautiful Friendships

How do I find and nurture deeper friendship relationships?

"What does true biblical friendship look like? Don't we all long for it? This session, based on the book Messy Beautiful Friendship by Christine Hoover, will offer a fresh perspective on friendship. It will help shatter the idealistic and unattainable dreams we have of friendship and point us to embrace biblical, God-designed friendship."

What are the potentially dangerous impacts of excessive screen time for me and my family?

"Unlike our great and mighty God, technology shows no mercy.  It has ruined families and destroyed relationships without discrimination.  In this session, we will discuss the potentially hazardous effects of excessive use of technology on our relationship with God, on our relationship with our families, and on our brain."
